Zarah Tabitha Israel is a dedicated Mental Health Program Apprentice driven by a lifelong passion for understanding the mind and helping others heal.  Her journey began in 2004, majoring in Psychology, where she gained a profound understanding of trauma's far-reaching effects. This knowledge ignited her philanthropy, leading to years of community involvement across Texas. Zarah has a rich history of empowering communities, especially students. She's incorporated programs from reading initiatives to after-school activities, always advocating for conflict resolution and fostering discipline.  Her extensive volunteer work, including at community centers and her current investment in youth girls, underscores her commitment to mental health advocacy. She believes in creating opportunities for individuals to voice their experiences, building strong, supportive communities where everyone can thrive. Currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) in Clinical Social Work, Zarah is deepening her expertise to further champion healing and restoration. She believes in establishing a sacred space where individuals can openly share their struggles and receive nurturing support. Her approach is rooted in understanding and addressing the systemic cycles of trauma, aiming to build lasting legacies of well-being. Zarah's Bachelor's in Psychology provides a strong foundation for understanding therapeutic resiliency. Her hands-on experience as an intern Counselor in Training for crisis intervention in Houston has further honed her skills in assessing and supporting individuals through various crises, from applying crisis theory principles to addressing suicidology. Through her work, Zarah is committed to empowering individuals, challenging systemic injustices, and fostering environments where healing and growth are paramount.
